One of my favourite lip colours is red. I prefer this colour because it makes your lips stand-out and it looks pretty sexy. When I use red lipstick, I prefer to keep the rest of my makeup more natural. Especially when I’m wearing red lipstick during the day.
When I’m wearing red lipstick at night I also stick to a more natural makeup look. Some occasions ask for a more dramatic makeup look, that’s when I choose to wear a red lipstick in combinations with dramatic eye makeup like a smokey eye.
For this makeup look, I chose to let my lips speak for themselves. I put on some natural makeup and a natural coloured eyeshadow to make my eyes look more awake.
My favourite red lipstick is from Yves Saint Laurent. It’s from their Rouge Pur Couture line, number 1. It hydrates my lips and it’s the perfect colour red. Besides that, I prefer a lipstick that isn’t’ to shiny. This one from Yves Saint Laurent has the perfect finish.
